The time of hands
The art of handmade at the LAPIMA atelier.

Every LAPIMA eyewear piece is born from a gesture — a silent decision to create something made to last.

In a world that values speed and automation, the LAPIMA atelier chooses a different rhythm.
In Campinas, São Paulo, 25 artisans — all trained in-house — sculpt eyewear with presence and intention.

Each piece goes through over 30 steps.
A line becomes a structure.
A sheet of Italian cellulose acetate gains volume.
Technology supports — but the eye and hands lead.
Machines cut. Hands refine. Cotton wheels polish. And time reveals.

Some models take up to a year to be ready.
Not because they need to — but because they deserve to.
Ideas mature. Prototypes are modeled, tested, refined.
Here, time is part of the process. It shapes the result.

Over time, we have developed our own techniques that ensure what defines LAPIMA: Volume, balance, and precision.

Polishing is done entirely by hand — calmly, attentively — until the acetate reveals its depth, its clarity, its vibrant shine.

Each pair of glasses carries the memory of its making.
Not only in its form, but in its touch.
That's why we keep everything close: the design, the craft, the people.
Because, for us, precision is not just technique.

It's personal.
